GLOSSARY

Card Value Over Time

Portfolio Metrics

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

How your collection's value has moved — going up and down with card prices — over the last month, three months, year, or since the prices begin.

FULL DEFINITION

What the cards you hold today were worth on each day of the chosen range, at each day's market price.

EXAMPLE

Your cards were worth £9,800 at the start of the 1Y range and £10,771 today: +£971, or +9.9%.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

Value on a day = Σ (copies × that printing's market price that day), converted at today's exchange rate so the line reflects card prices rather than currency moves. Prices are TickerMint's daily TCGplayer market prices: every day for the last three months, weekly (Mondays) before that; a day with no price uses the previous one. It is like-for-like: a card is only in the line if it has prices for the whole range, so a card TickerMint started pricing part-way through (a new set, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, tracked since September 2026) is left out and named rather than making the line jump when it appears. Change = last value − first value; % = change ÷ first value × 100. It shows the cards you hold today, not when you bought them. The dashed Paid line is the total you entered as paid for the charted cards, drawn only when every one of them has a paid value.
