WHY IT HELPS
Keeps a collection that's worth real money in view next to your investments, and counts it in your net worth.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
Collection value = Σ (copies × today's market price for the printing you own) in US dollars, converted at the latest stored daily FX rate. The most valuable card sits in the middle of the fan and the rest alternate outwards; the picked card shows its price each (USD), how many you have and their value, and — when you entered what you paid — its gain or loss. The figure next to the collection value is the gain or loss across the cards with a paid value (see Card Gain/Loss). A card that hasn't been priced yet, or whose printing has no price today, is left out of the value and flagged. Up to 13 cards are fanned; the rest are counted and listed on the Portfolio page.
