GLOSSARY

Day Change

Portfolio Metrics

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

How much your holdings moved today compared with yesterday's closing prices. Holdings without a previous close are skipped, so on thin data the figure can cover only part of the portfolio.

FULL DEFINITION

The one-day movement in portfolio value, shown as a percentage next to Return.

EXAMPLE

Yesterday's close valued your holdings at £10,000 and today they're worth £10,150. Day Change = +1.50%.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

For each holding with a previous close: shares held × (current price − previous close), converted to your portfolio currency and summed. The percentage divides that total by the sum of shares held × previous close.
