IN PLAIN ENGLISH
Uninvested money the app knows about: balances read from banks you've connected on the Portfolio page, plus any amounts you typed in yourself.
FULL DEFINITION
The sum of your linked bank balances and any cash amounts you have recorded by hand.
EXAMPLE
A linked current account showing £1,200 plus ISA cash of £800 you entered by hand. Total Cash = £2,000.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
Total Cash = sum of linked bank balances + sum of hand-entered amounts. A linked balance is each cash account's current balance as your bank reports it (credit cards, loans and investment accounts are not included); if it is in another currency it is converted at the latest stored daily FX rate, and a balance we have no rate for is left out and marked "not in total". Banks whose access has expired are not counted until you reconnect. A hand-entered amount is in the currency you chose when you added it (your portfolio currency unless you picked another); one in another currency is converted at the latest FX rate in the same way, and one we have no rate for is left out and marked "not in total".
